I would like to open a beauty salon for all hair types. Bel Hair will be a center of hair treatment. I love when someone hair is healthy, I want to open this beauty salon in order to help the women who needs to have long hair or looking for good hair care. This type of beauty salon would be a first because most salons are wash and blow dry but they don't sat down with their customer to know or explain how to take care of their hair and what products to use. And also it's a big way to boost natural organic products because our main motive is only to use natural products.

Bel Hair salon main purpose would be a one stop salon which will satisfy the entire family's hair needs in one convenient visit (kids, teens and adults). So many salons only provide the minimum services with inconvenient schedule requirements and costs. We aim to be different!

Bel Hair perceives an unfulfilled customer need for a low cost salon that provides maximum flexibility and strong customer attention. Will keep the social distancing procedures (covid-19).

What we need:

Bel Hair will incur the following start up costs:

• Legal fees
• Lease
• Computer with point of sale terminal
• Three cutting stations (3 chairs)
• 1 barber chair
• 2 shampoo basins
• Materials and equipment: curling iron, blow dryer , rollers, pins, each station require a large mirror, spray bottle, several pairs of scissors, assorted combs and brushes.
• Desk for reception area
• Sofa for the reception area
• Display shelf for sale of retail products
• Coffee table
• Uniforms
• Cleaning desinfectants (special materials regarding that pandemic)

The Business

Bel Hair will be located in the most traffic zone in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Our mission is to provide natural organic hair treatment, styling, cuts, braiding, permanent and hair coloring. Shampoos will be offered for all adults services. Service is offered on a walk in basis or by appointments. Bel Hair will emphasize a customer-centric service where customer's needs are always the priority.

A family salon is more laid back place that allows the children to play while they are waiting and then will work with the parents in calming the kids nerves when they are ready for their sharing.

Bel Hair mission is to provide reasonably prices convenient styling. We want to attract and maintain customers. Our service will exceed our expectations of our customers.

Objective

The hair styling industry is highly fragmented with national chains, operates diverse franchises and also thousand of salons that are very restricted in space and services.

Our objective for the first three years of operations include:

1. To create a service based company whose goal is to exceed customer's expectations.

2. To increase the number of clients served by at least 20% per year through superior performance, social medias advertising and word to mouth referrals.

3. To develop a sustainable start up business contributing to increased employment of community residents.

Bel Hair will be targeting diverse groups of customers (all hair types). Looking to boost organic products on the market.

Our three different segments: 1. natural organic hair treatment, our hair treatment will made from scratch using the real products such as coconut oil, aloe vera, olive oil, ... 2. Braiding service, Bel Hair will braid natural or with synthetic hair. 3. Our nail bar will provide the best service for women and men. Most young children are notoriously difficult when it comes to getting hair cuts.

Bel Hair will also sell hair care products such as shampoos, conditioners, oil treatments, wigs and other styling aids, nail treatments and polishes.

And also we are looking forward to be part of the private label hair products business.

Bel Hair will offer reasonably priced, convenient hair styling; will accept walk ins as well as appointments, also growing its markets share based on superior attention. We will offer a discount for a few months to people that refer new customers.

Bel Hair will offer products based commission structure for the hair care products where they give every products to the employee for commission for selling the items to the customers; this will allow Bel Hair to generate good sales from the retail hair care products.
