Beirut Needs Help

We are NGO Mondo, and we are an Estonian civil society organization established in 2007. Our organization works in three different fields: development cooperation, humanitarian aid and global citizenship education, with the main activities focused on improving health, education and livelihood for the most vulnerable communities in the world.

We are collecting donations to Mondo Crisis Fund to help families in the Lebanese capital Beirut who have been affected by last Tuesday's explosion. Mondo has been working in the Lebanese capital since 2016, providing support to Syrian refugees, who make up a quarter of the Lebanese population while its territory is 4 times smaller than Estonia.

Lebanon has had a very difficult year, and now Beirut itself needs our help: more than 200 people so far have died in the blast, thousands injured, almost 300,000 people have lost their homes, and Beirut's grain reserves have been destroyed.

In partnership with our local partner Development for People and Nature Association (DPNA), we will support families in Beirut and the suburbs with the following items and services:

2. Psychological support for victims

3. Hygiene packages

4. Home restoration
