Campaign Story
Hi, my name is Bei Bei Morrison Evans and I am raising money to go to Tanzania on a Camps International volunteer project in July 2015.
Whilst there I will be working with local schools to develop the importance of sports and the skills you can gain from it, such as teamwork, leadership and organisation. Located 10km south of Tanga Town, the village I will be working in generates income through seaweed farming and fishing ; it is therefore important for the locals to maintain the ecosystem of the sea and not overfish or pollute the water. I will also have the opportunity to take part in Camps Internationals marine conservation project.
On the 25th August 2014 I will be doing the 3 Peak Challenge with my dad and sister (3 Peaks, 3 Countries in 24 hours!) to raise money for my volunteering project abroad. We will start at Ben Nevis in the afternoon which should take 5 hours to climb to the summit and down, and then drive to Scafell Pike and climb from Wasdale in the early morning for 4 hours, then drive to Snowdon which is the last of the 3 peaks - taking the Pyg Track route, steep but faster which should take another 4 hours.
Its a tough challenge with 10,052ft of ascent!
Thank you for sponsoring me! :)

Well done all three of you! I am very impressed with your stamina and determination. I can only see the old man in one of the shots, are you sure he did all three peaks or did you leave him half way up?

Well Done Bei Bei! What an achievement!!!
WE DID IT!! - Snowdon
Update posted by beibei at 06:33 pmAfter being stuck in traffic we finally made it to Snowdon at 14:30 and started walking at 14:45. This climb was much nicer than the others with a bit of uphill, followed by a flatter part and then back to the uphill. 17:20 was when we reached the top of. . . . .
WE DID IT!! - Scafell Pike
Update posted by beibei at 06:32 pmWe arrived at Scafell Pike at 04:00 and set off 10 minutes later, in the pitch black! The stars were out and headtorches could be spotted at the start of the route up. The sun rose on our way, leaving a spectacularly pink and purple sky. We reached the summit
WE DID IT!! - Ben Nevis
Update posted by beibei at 06:24 pmAfter a long drive up to Scotland we finally reached Glen Nevis and started the our three peak challenge at 16:02. The walk up varied from steps to scree and the sun was out, but as we ascended we encounted rain, hail and snow! At 19:30 we reached the top. . . . .
