Jakaranda Children’s Home has been providing a safe, nurturing environment to children, aged 3 – 18, since 1987. The Children’s Home became a registered Non-Profit Organisation on 13 March 2002 and officially registered our new name on 18 January 2017. With 20 homes onsite at Jakaranda Children’s Home, located in East Lynne, Pretoria, we provide holistic care, 24-hours a day, and 365 days a year for 223 children, who are placed in our care by the Children's Court. The children are transported to and from 13 different schools daily, which includes primary-, high- and special schools.
Your ongoing support has been fundamental in assisting us keeping our doors open and the lights on, we thank you for this from the bottom of our hearts. We have various projects running simultaneously to raise awareness and much needed funds for our Organisation, but our Debit Order campaign is specifically dedicated to raise awareness and funds amongst supporters and donors.
