Adrianus Aerts is my friend and a colleague, an IT specialist, from Amsterdam. I meet him in 2002 at ELAG conference in Rome, Italy where he taught the Semantic Web workshop, and ever since we are friends.
He has pancreatic cancer with a life expectancy of between 2 and 6 months. It is a common form of cancer that it only late discloses and often can not be handled anymore. The general expectation is that he will be weaker by the week, but the disease can also provide mutual surprises.
He can't walk any more and so much want this last period to go to some museums and theater while he still can. His last wish is an electric wheelchair so he can be mobile. This is his website and blog for further information on his current situation (for Dutch non-speakers please turn on translation in Chrome). https://bijdedag.nl/about/
Please do help me to achieve his last wish! Thank you!
