Campaign Story
''He may have MS but MS won't have him''
During March of 2014, someone dear to me, in his thirties was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which is an inflammatory disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. This damage disrupts the ability of parts of the nervous system to communicate, resulting in a wide range of signs and symptoms.
To date, there is no cure available, however numerous countries now offer the possibility of under-going a treatment called Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT), which has proven to eradicate the debilitating symptoms of this strain of the disease.
The aim of this campaign is to raise enough funds in order to give this person the chance of receiving this one time treatment which offers a chance at getting back to everyday normal routine, which most of us take for granted.
Many thanks in advance for your kind consideration.
