Beat Cancer, Fight with Pai

Victor "Pai" Zolayvar is a 27 year old male, currently working as a Financial Reporting Analyst at Citibank. He previously work at different companies (such as IBM, Sony and Northern Trust) during his 5-year career in the finance industry.

Pai is an amazing person. He is that special friend, who can read your thoughts, finish your sentences, and make you smile and laugh when you are feeling down. He's someone who you can you hang out with, someone you can trust, and someone you rely on in everything. He's the most generous person I've met.

Unfortunately, things went down when he got hospitalised last January 6, 2021. Initially, he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Tuberculosis and started immediately with his TB Medications for 6 months. He was discharged on January 13, 2021, but was re-admitted on January 17, 2021 due to vomiting. It was later found out that Pai have a Kaposi Sarcoma, a type of Cancer.

Last March 19, 2021. Pai went on admission again to the hospital for a minor operation as he was experiencing pain whenever he excretes. His doctor recommended to see an Oncologist to have a consultation about his Kaposi Sarcoma. He was discharged on March 21, 2021, but again, under unfortunate circumstances, his family went on home quarantine for a month due to suspected case of COVID-19.

After obtaining all the clearance to go outside after the home quarantine, Pai went to see an Oncologist on the first week of May 2021. The Doctor asked Pai to go through another CT Scan to compare the last CT that he had in January. After all the tests, the Doctor interpreted his CT Scan results and found tumor on his lungs and on his liver. The Doctor calls it as "Advanced Stage" type of Cancer, a word that Pai and his father, didn't cope up well.

The Doctor told Pai that he needs to undergo chemotherapy. It will be once every 3 weeks, but will cost him approximately 70,000-80,000 pesos (inclusions of the medicine and professional fees). But, before Pai can proceed with his chemotherapy, he needs to go additional tests such as 2D-Echo, etc. Unfortunately, his HMO is already reaching its limit which greatly affects their finances.

Thus, the "Fight for Pai" was created. This campaign is an initiative that aims to help Pai in every possible way to ease his finances once he starts and goes on with his chemotherapy.
