Be the Modern day Robin Hood

Ohai,

Thank you so much for looking at my page. Ok so I'll try to keep this as short as possible.

My dream is to teach and help develop children's minds. Now most of you will think "wow that's uh kinda easy just get a teaching degree badabing badaboom congrats!" Sadly its not that easy as I don't just wish to teach I wish to understand children; better their lives so that our future might be brighter (corny I know, but its true.) I've worked a lot with children in my short life, but the amount of young people I see failed by the schooling systems and educators of today is just heartbreaking. Now I know you probably hear this a lot but I honestly have a burning passion for teaching and helping the world better understand young people and the way the human mind can develop.

Now many of you have probably seen other fundraising applicants and now you've stumbled upon mine and your first thought is "uh why does she deserve any of this" well I could rant on about how this is my dream yada yada yada but that's already obvious else I wouldn't be doing this. So what made me look to the internet and the generosity of random strangers? The fact that the world is preventing people like me and many others from getting a solid education. We have gone back to the "the rich may study and the poor can work" mind-frame and it's just upsetting, I've worked hard my whole life always trying to better myself, my life and the lives of those around me, but now I'm at this hurdle.

I want to study Psychology at Rotterdam University in the Netherlands. They have an excellent psychology course which I swear was made perfectly for me, with problem based learning. I hope it would give me a better insight as to why humans react the way they do in certain situations and how the brain really works. Sadly the cost of living and tuition, although cheaper than most other places in the world, is still too high for me and my family. My family has been through some financial, emotional and physical hardships over the past few years due to which my parents have no way to fund me. I myself can't get together the money required to live, work and attend university before September 2015. I currently work full-time and I plan on working once I am over in the Netherlands, as well as study. I thought that maybe the generosity of others could lighten my load a little so that I can fully experience Psychology, instead of spending most of my time working.

I know the amount I'm fundraising for seems a lot but that would cover my entire 3 year course and I would be eternally grateful. The best way I can think to thank anyone who helps is to succeed in life and hopefully help others through my line of work.
