Be part of a Guinness Record – do something for our environment!

Our Guinness Record attempt has already proven. We are looking for partners and supporters for the carrying-on. Not to make it a pig in a poke, we have already took the first steps. 20 tour days, 290 towns and 4442 km certify our intrepidity and the operation of our project. E-Cartour

Registered Guinness Record attempt with the aim of popularizing electric car driving, showing its secret potentials, blowing away the related misbeliefs and focusing on a more environmentally conscious way of life.

Recorders

With a large family, having 3 children and 3 grandchildren, it is very important for us that our children and grandchildren inherit a livable environment from us. We have already transformed many parts of our living space and transportation, using renewable energy and reducing the pollutant emission of our household and vehicles to the minimum.

Our goal

We would like to spread the message that living an environmentally conscious way of life does not necessarily mean sacrifices, but can make our everydays better. It is also a message to our coevals, as we believe it is not only the task and opportunity for the youngsters to try out new things and to live a meaningful, eventful, exciting, challenging life.

World record

We will be the first couple in the world that gets to all the towns of their country. Among the Guinness Record database we couldn’t find similar attempt, so we officially registered ours on the 4th November 2018. Based on our plans, there will be several further attempts after this one.

Over the rehearsal – attempt launched

A borrowed Nissan E-NV200 electric car was in our help for training from 1st October to 15th November 2018. During these days we could already set a few records that are just in progress of being acknowledged as Hungarian records.

20 tour days, 290 towns and 4442 km

These are the proofs of our intrepidity and the success of this project, besides the certifications we collected during the trips. Despite we had a 4-year-old van with a 24 kWh battery, we could reach to be so effective. The maximum and real range was 110 km, so it was an additional challenge to make a proper schedule for the cities and organising the charging possibilities.

References, witnesses

During our tour we always try to meet the mayors of the towns we visit. It was successful 80% of the visits. The leaders of the towns are very open to the message of e-transport.

A further aim of our attempt is to become the ambassadors of electric cars.

After our world record tour of getting to all Hungarian towns we will travel to the main cities of Euorpe by the electric car. During the following years our goal is to get to all continents and drive at least 50.000 km at each by the electric car.

For these trips we need supporters. We have to buy an electric car with proper range, which costs around 37.000 EUR. We are getting in touch with car factories and distributors and we hope to have the chance to get such a car on under the market price.

Without sponsors it would be very challenging to set this record, so as we are looking for sponsors who support us reach our goals.

Besides money

Besides money donation we would be happy to receive other supporting elements, e.g. accommodation, clothes with logos that we wear during the trips and in online or TV reports. Over and above, anything that could support building this record, e.g. communicational, navigational appliances, cameras, stands, etc.

After we set the new world record successfully, also with accomplishing the all-continent-visit, we plan to stand down for a year, so as we can write and publish our book about our experiences with many photos.

Our plan is to publish this book in the main languages, like English, Russian, German, Spanish and Portuguese besides Hungarian.

By that time we will have the names and addresses (given to us willingly) of those supporters who helped us with at least 300 EUR (or with something else with the same values). All of them will be gifted a copy of this special tour book.
