BE MY VALENTINE!

An annual initiative to restore lost love to women in shelters.

Got love?

We all love the season of roses, heart shaped truffles, overly pricey dinners and cards that say “I love you” in 10 different languages. But what does it really mean to love?

Show some real love this Valentine’s day by helping us bring smiles to the faces of over 60 women and their families at the Red Door Family Shelter.

The Goal:

Raise funds to give a special Valentine’s day gift package along with a rose to women who have survived abuse and are seeking refuge at the Red Door Family Shelter in Toronto. The Red Door shelter has provided a place of refuge to women fleeing abuse, families in crisis, refugees and young mothers since 1982. The mission of the Red Door Shelter is to end homelessness for each family that comes through its doors by providing a safe, temporary refuge and critical services to support them in healing, rebuilding their lives and integrating back into a community.

This is the very first year of this initiative. We have carefully selected an excellent shelter to partner with and all participants/organizers are extremely excited to kick this off. It is therefore of the utmost importance that we begin with a loud bang and help make a real difference in the lives of these women by making them feel loved this Valentine’s day.

VOLUNTEER: We also need volunteers to visit the shelter with us this Valentine’s day (Friday Feb 14th) between 9AM and 5PM. Please email [email protected]  to volunteer.
