Be Andrei’s Hero

Andrei Panganiban, from Rizal Philippines, a 4-year-old boy who suffers from nephrotic syndrome since he was born, a condition that causes the kidneys to leak large amounts of protein into the urine.

He can't eat fatty and salty foods and only allowed to drink a pint and a half of water each day. If his disorder isn't controlled, he can relapse. This has unfortunately occurred many times, and most of the time landed him in the hospital. When he relapse, he starts swelling up because his body retains the water.

Andrei's father is a taxi driver and hospital bills are actually more than his income. We help them at times but it is just not enough to cover Andrei's medication and hospital bills.

Seeing a child going through this painful journey is every parent's nightmare.

Andrei is very excited to go to school next year and he said he wants to be a doctor someday to help sick children like him.
