I am very glad that you are here.
My name is Shahla. I am a Syrian refugee student who lives in Jordan. The displacement is a terrible experience that changes a normal human to a refugee and you can't understand the effects of that without experiencing.
My dream is to become a health professional to heal the victims of the war. Currently, I am a volunteer at Al Amal Home, I teach young refugees English and biology there. I fought a lot during the high school to complete my education. Then finally I finished it with a high average =95.6%, but I was shocked when I knew that Jordan as a refugee - hosting country doesn't offer opportunities for refugees to study at Public Universities and Private universities are highly expensive. Due to my family's financial issue it was so hard to register in such universities. I applied for a scholarship at a private university called American University of Madbaa and because of my high average I got it. Unfortunately, my dream is shattered after I have finished 2 years =70 credit hours of the Bachelor program. After I finished 2 academic years, the scholarship institution cut funding. I have applied to many jobs but the pandemic circumstances made it impossible because of rare opportunities. I can't carry on the 66 credit hours and the scholarship institution doesn't give me a transcript unless I pay for all the previous semesters.
No one can deny that education is a right as a human being.Your generosity can help me to make my dream becomes true and your kindness can return the hope back to me. As I believe from my heart, one day I will be one of those who help students to achieve their goal.
A private online class (biology or molecular genetics or Arabic language or any related course).
