This is JORGE ALBURO LUEGO, a hardworking man who is turning 57 years old this 21st of December 2019.

He is a chinese blooded man from Dapa, Surigao del Norte, Siargao Island, Philippines. The friends and classmates of her daughter used to call him "Papa Jorge" because of his caring and loving father character.

Papa Jorge used to have a fair skin when he was young but because of his work as a farmer, he had too much exposure to the sun that made him have darker skin tone which is one of the symptoms of Skin Cancer.

He was diagnosed of Malignant Melanoma (Clark Level IV) also known as Skin Cancer last June 2019. It all started with a wound in his right sole. Because he is a diabetic person, it took him longer to heal the wound, and it came to the point where the wound became wider and protruding.

Tumor was successfully removed last July 2019 at Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Manila.

The family thought everything will be okay after the successful operation but just this 22nd of November 2019, he had a very high fever. He fell from his bed to the floor and was not able to move - that time he was having a mild stroke and he had difficulty in his speech and had experience severe pain on his head.

He was rushed to the near "proper" hospital (from Siargao Island which is 3 hours away to Surigao City via ship/fastcraft).

He then had an immediate CT Scan at Caraga Hospital and found a clot in his brain (occipital lobe area).

On the 25th of November 2019, he spent 2 days in the Emergency room at Vicente Sotto.

According to the CT scan result, Papa Jorge has:

It was heartbreaking to know that it spreads throughout his brain specifically in the brain stem that controls the flow of messages between the brain and the rest of the body, and it also controls basic body functions such as breathing, swallowing, heart rate, blood pressure, consciousness, and whether one is awake or sleepy.

There were two attending doctors: An IM-Nuero and Oncologist.

Prognosis is POOR that the family was left with nothing but to choose:

OPTION A: IMMUNOTHERAPY (PDL-1 drug of choice) which is worth 150-200,000 pesos in one session (every after 21 days) for a year. AND ASAP.

OPTION B: RADIOTHERAPY (Only in Cebu Doc and Chonghua Hospital) everyday for 33days. TOO RISKY and may cause death.

OPTION C: GO HOME AND WAIT.

The family of Papa Jorge decided to try OPTION A which is way more faster and may prolong his life even in just 1 session. At least they'll be able to give him a better medicine before heading back to the island.

Unfortunately, their money is not enough. They had spent too much from his last operation.
