Dear family and friends,

Let me start by saying, I'm glad we're all still here through this crazy Covid-19 pandemic. Now more than ever before (during our existence), time is so very uncertain. I pray that the Lord continues to bless and keep us all.

I hope you could spare the time and read this letter to the end as it can really help restore my friend's life.

I have been privileged to get to know some women through Ihata Shelter a CT-based NPO which help all women and their young children effected by domestic violence.

Melicia is one particular friend who is in a bit of an emergency crisis that she desperately need help to get out of. Not to mention how it has been hard for her to complete saving for her small business starting fund (catering services).

No act of kindness is too small!

Below is Mel’s fundraiser letter;

Dear friends, this is a plead to open your heart and with every contribution, you CAN restole my life.

Working as a sleep-out domestic worker helped me to take care of my family unfortunately due to these uncertain times my naivety led me to this very difficult life that has left me broken but I refused to lose hope as I believe better days are coming!

With the levels of lockdown being eased slowly and not being able to resume to my sleep-out job till Level 1 or 2, I fear that I'm unable to provide for my family without income and this is where I ask you for help.

I am here to kindly ask for your help, I am fundraising for my dream Catering Services which I believe will be a great way of getting back on my feet and supporting my family. Presently, I am a single mom of 2 kids and primarily supporting my household, which includes my mother and 5 younger siblings.

I am hoping to raise something that will help me to start up.
