I’m writing my story in the hopes of gathering financial support to help me push through, and continue my fight against cancer.

It all started with a cough. I was rushed to the ER in January 2017 due to difficulty in breathing. I was sent home and given antibiotics. The cough went away. However, on August 2017, I had cough again that persisted for several days. My pulmonologist gave me antibiotics again.

October 2017, I was admitted in the hospital due to low hemoglobin. A series of tests were done. And the result came as a shock. It was Classical Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 3B. Lymphoma again? Is it hereditary? Were the questions that first entered my mind.

Years after losing my only sister to lymphoma, here I am battling Lymphoma as well.

My sister’s death came as a shock. She was young and healthy. It was a devastation to my family and relatives, as well as to her friends. It took us a while to accept it. But we have to. We kept our faith in the Lord. We entrusted everything to him.

Nov 2017, I underwent VATS. The biopsy confirmed my illness. I went thru 5 months of chemotherapy from December 2017 to April 2018. It only took 5 months because the CT scan showed that the tumor reduced its size from 6cm to 3cm. It stopped there.

Since then, I changed to alternative medicine. I gained weight and somehow felt better.

Fast forward to December 2019, I suddenly had a loss of appetite. It should be the season for joy. It was the holiday season. Good food with families and friends. But I started losing weight. Fever would come and go in the afternoon. I would have on and off palpitations. I would easily get tired. From 60 kgs. I went down to 47 kgs.

Last July 30, my doctor suggested I go to the hospital to be admitted to run some tests. My hemoglobin was so low that I had 4 bags of blood transfusion. My doctor recommended 6 sessions of Bendamustine chemotherapy. Each session will require 4 vials which costs P73200. Each session costs me P99200 including the doctor's fee.

The surgery and the treatments drained our savings. Medication for this kind of illness would be a challenge for us as we are from an average earning family. We are knocking on your kind hearts for any help.

From here on out, it’s going to be different and harder battle for us. In spite of the pain, I am still hoping, praying, and believing in a silver lining. I still want to live, though there are times where physical and emotional pain tries to overcome me, I am still fighting and hoping for my family’s dreams to come true. I am doing this for my only child, for my husband, for my family.

There is no donation too big or too small – any donation would go a long way towards my healing. Please also include me and my family in your prayers. Thank you so much. God bless you.
