A long battle against Greece for Human Rights

A brief history

This case is about Mr. Harutyun Mkrtchyan against Greece & Armenia regarding the violation of Human Right. Harutyun Mkrtchyan has been born in Yerevan City, in Armenia and moved to Greece as child. He have been living in the Greek territory since 1998 in a legal manner with his family. He is an active member of the society and had done a lot of volunteering work and attended many volunteering projects in Central Macedonia and in Greece.

The case

Mr. Harutyun Mkrtchyan still holds Armenian nationality, while his other brothers and family have the Greek nationality. His Armenian passport had expired and therefore he cannot renew the passport due to religious and civil reasons. Armenia is denying to renew or issue a new passport, even taking him back in country. The Greek authorities of Central Macedonia are violating the Greek and the E.U. law and want to deport him, after being an active and useful person for the country for more than 20 years.

Armenia do not respect his Human Rights and the right for a new passport because of his beliefs. The Greek authorities are violating the Greek law which protect people like Harutyun Mkrtchyan, who cannot show a new passport. Their decisions are violating the Human Rights. If Harutyun Mkrtchyan get deported in Armenia, he would be jailed for Religious Beliefs, without any fair judge.
