Battle Against Covid-19

Hello! I hope you are doing well and having a good day so far. Our family is humbly asking for a bit of your time to hear us out as we go through a hard time. Edgardo R. Casal, my husband, a loving father and grandfather, tested positive for covid-19 last April 17, 2021. He was immediately admitted to the hospital because his case was considered severe. At first, he was given Remdisivir but his body did not respond to the medicine. The doctors said that he needed to undergo hemoperfusion in order to remove the toxins in his blood hoping that by doing so, he will get better. But after three days of hemoperfusion, there was little to no improvement in his condition. He still suffers from shortness of breath due to a severe case of pneumonia. As of now, the doctors declared that he is already covid-free but he is still suffering from the complications brought about by the virus. He's been in ICU since May 4, 2021 (the day he started with the hemoperfusion). Right now, he is supported by high-flow oxygen which helps him to breathe and gets his food through a nasogastric tube. He is expected to undergo CT Pulmonary Angiogram when he already has the strength for the procedure. He is currently confined at the Global Medical Center of Laguna.
