Basketball needs your help!

Mitchell's Plain is an area situated on the Cape Flats, Cape Town, South Africa. This is an extremely impoverished area, riddled with gangestrism, drugs, prostitution and other social ills. Its the intention of the Mitchell's Plain Basketball Association to start a school basketball league for the +- 85 schools, accompanied by intervention programmes to guide and positively uplift our youth. South Africa is one of the countries with the highest unemployment rate and its imperative that we as a community start to positively influence our youth, on and off the court.

Our needs is for basketball equipment (hoops), transport,sneakers, balls, playing gear for schools teams, referee equipment etc, our biggest cost driver is the booking of venues and facilities. As a Basketball enthusiast, i am willing to shoot a 3 pointer for every 3 dollars donated.
