Piratas (Pirates) of Parque Lefevre, how is this team called, is a non-profitable institution and a little league baseball team established on the north and located in a very popular area of Panama city (3MM population)
Important players from Panama have grown, learn and becoming stars coming out from this league, which counts with 6 categories: U6, U8, U9, U12, U14 and U16 years of age
Piratas, whose uses a uniform with the same colors combination of the Pittsburg Pirates, participates in about 10 tournaments along the year. The two most important are the "Andy Alonso Cup" and "Torneo Sectorial de Panama Metro".
Andy Alonso Cup was previously named "Under Armour Cup", but this sponsorship was ended ant the cup took the name of the founder of the baseball field where the team currently trains
Torneo Sectorial de Panama Metro faces the teams from different areas inside Panama each other, looking for a representative for the Little Leagues World Series, which is performed each year in Pennsylvania, USA.
Currently, the league groups around 80 players and of course the payments of uniforms, inscription for tournaments, transportation, maintenance of the baseball field, balls, bats, helmets is something not easy to afford for the parents, taking on consideration that the majority of them are from popular extraction
The purpose of this funding initiative is to collect funds enough to keep the league up and running, having our youth dedicated to sports as Baseball instead of vicious and bad practices and ensure the continuity of our pool of players that in the future could provide players to international leagues
We hope you can help and contribute with this noble cause!
