Update as of 02/04/19
She was rushed to the ER of MMC first on Jan. 17 due to shortness of breathing that has started shortly a week after her last chemotherapy on January 9. Since all the lab results shows clinically normal, we went home after being cleared by the doctors. After that weekend, she is still complaining shortness of breath, come Monday she requested that we buy an oxygen tank since she can no longer take the pain along with shortness of breath. We got her a mini oxygen tank that has only lasted for 5hours, Monday night we were all too worried since she doesn’t want to come to the hospital anymore and I still can’t find an oxygen tank for her at past 11pm. We were lucky that at around past 3am I was able to contact a 24/7 oxygen supplier and she got it by 4:30am of Tuesday. Her doctor insists that she needs to be admitted but she refused since she said she got better, Wednesday came and we have convinced her to go to the hospital so we rushed her to the ER January 23.
January 24, according to the X-ray result, the doctors said that there’s fluid in her lungs so she’s being treated for infection. She can barely eat as well during the 1st week, she’s in pain and she would say that she can no longer be endure it. Our hearts bursts in prayers when we learned it is Pneumonia, we all know that it is a delicate (mostly fatal) for leukemia patients and we thank the Lord that our prayers were answered. She is now getting better but still needs oxygen support. There’s improvement in her X-RAY as well!
Barbie is still in the hospital for Atypical Pneumonia since her admission last January 24. According to the doctors she can go home if she would no longer need oxygen support. Her company’s HMO denied coverage of the hospitalization since they said that it is a complication to her ALL. The running hospital bill is now at P262,300. PHILHEALTH estimated coverage is at 10,500 and we also went to PCSO for help and we got 20,000 as written on the guarantee letter. We also have deposited 80,000 to the hospital coming from her fund for the bone marrow transplant that was suppose to happen this month.
We are still trying to raise fund for her hospitalization and medications and we sincerely hope that you can also help us in this challenge.

My sister was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia,
she just turned 29 years old and our family wants her to live a long
and beautiful life; we long to call her Grandma Barbie. Please help us raise
funds for her; according to the doctors she needs an
intensive medication plan since her leukemia is aggressive and rapid and could be fatal. She is recommended to have the Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant in
between
January to February 2019 and the estimated cost is P4.8M. Only four (4) hospitals here in the Philippines are capable to do the procedure: Makati Medical Center, The Medical City, St. Luke's Medical Center Taguig and St. Luke's Medical Center Quezon City. At present, she is having her chemotherapy sessions in Makati Medical Center.
Our family and some of our friends are continuously doing other fundraising event and activities which includes: selling of home-made pastries and sweets, selling of Leukemia awareness statement shirts, reselling of dreamcakes, special block screening of the movie: Aquaman in UPTown Mall this December 14 and many more. We feel so blessed to have friends especially relatives supporting us in this journey, we appreciate everyone who's continuously praying for our dear Barbie.
We keep our faith in Him, we are humbly asking you to include Barbie in your prayers.
