Campaign Story
My sister Barb has advanced breast cancer. After surgery and a dismal prognosis from Mayo oncologists and other doctors, Barb took matters into her own hands and basically became the healthiest person living with cancer you've ever met. She managed to keep the cancer at bay for three years, but it is no longer stable. Barb found a great doctor who uses a blend of alternative treatments and traditional approaches, e.g. low-dose chemo. The doctor has had amazing results with a lot of people who have advanced diseases. She is in full treatment mode for three weeks. The doctor thinks her body is responding really well and that she could increase her chances of remission with another three weeks of treatment. Which is expensive. As a completely lame/inactive user of social media, and as someone who, like my sister, is fairly horrified at the idea of putting this site up, I understand any negative response you may have in reading this. But if you know either of us, you know that I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't feel it was necessary to help Barb. Thank you for any support you can offer.
