Bangon Bagong Pook

My dad, Lope Lina, works as a public servant (brgy. chairman/kapitan) in the Philippines and our barangay, Brgy. Bagong Pook needs help. My dad, his team, and our city mayor are doing their best to provide for everyone but they don’t have enough funds. They are implementing a “poorest of the poor” system which means only the bottom tier gets help. This also means that lots of families won’t qualify and lots of these families live paycheck to paycheck, day by day. On top of that, many of them are still waiting for help after the Taal Volcano eruption when everyone had to evacuate. This pandemic just worsens their situations and it's very disheartening to know that people are at rock bottom and feeling helpless.

My dad told me that there are around 2000 families in our barangay. If we can work together and come up with $1 per family, that will be a really big help already! Please consider helping a family.
