Let's save the world with bamboo!

Did you know? Bamboo is one of the most efficient resources in the world! It has many uses, it's good for the environment, it grows very efficiently, and we have a plan to use it.

Some varieties (Japanese Timber Bamboo & Blue Hennon Bamboo) can be split and used as boards or can be used as logs an poles for building houses and other structures. Others (Arrow Bamboo & Black Bamboo) are used for wicker and paneling. All of it can be used for making high quality plywood, paper, and a number of utensils. The leaves, sap, waxy secretions, and even sawdust/shavings are used as herbal medicine in various parts of the world. Even the bamboo shoots are edible and a popular ingredient in Asian cuisine.

Like all plants it produces oxygen. It also cools the air! On a hot summer day it can be 25oF cooler in the shade of the bamboo!! It acts like a giant swamp-cooler style air conditioner, catching the breeze and cooling it with moisture from every leave. On the other hand the old leaves on the ground stay dry on top and resist mold growth. Bamboo spreads through its roots, re-distributing moisture from damp areas to dry areas. The color easily absorbs sunlight, resisting freezing to a degree and thawing out quickly. All this makes it a valuable tool for resisting climate change.

An established one acre grove of bamboo puts up hundreds to thousands of poles each year. Some varieties can spread across an acre of land in just five years! That being said, those same varieties take at least three years to start spreading and filling in and can't be harvested until the fourth year!! Most bamboo only produces flowers and fruit after 50 years. After that, the entire patch may die back, only to grow again from seeds! It's a good idea to do transplants every five years to minimize losses.

The project 1 plan is to purchase a large stretch of riverfront property to plant and cultivate bamboo and complimentary plants in a sustainable landscape. Project 2 will be to construct processing and sales facilities as well as employee housing for a proprietary community. Project 3 will be to setup legal structures and hire employees to work in a coop environment.

Following this plan, using bamboo as our key renewable resource, we will be supplying many products for the entire country, and supporting the environment and economy! This is your chance to help!!
