Bali Lestari is a start up NGO dedicated to inspiring and empowering
the Balinese people to preserve our natural resources.
We partner with like-minded organizations in Bali toward a cleaner greener Bali.
In 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic we had some time to really consider and discuss the impact that plastics, rubber and the modern world are having upon our beloved Island. Bali welcomes exceeding six million tourists each year, add to that our existing population which is incidentally on the rise, multiply that by shopping bags and water bottles per day per person, and we are already in trouble.
Following one such conversation with an Australian frequent visitor to Bali, we received the go ahead to set up our Foundation and with the start-up fees to commence work on our first project in Subak.
