Baktisiswa 2017 Donation Drive

Baktisiswa is an annual community service project organized by University of Malaya Medical Society (MEDSOC). The details of the project are as follows :

Project : Baktisiswa 2017

Date : 25th -30th August 2017

Venue : Kampung Telaga Air, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

Organzier : University of Malaya Medical Society, MEDSOC.

Fund needed : MYR 9 000.00 (USD 2 000.00)

Medical students will become a major contributor in improving the health status in the future. Thus, the spirit on willing to serve the community should be sown among the medical students not only in the aspects of curriculum and even should be applied in their activity during leisure time. Therefore, Baktisiswa program that has been ongoing for several years, will be held again in this year, and the venue is aiming to the rural areas that required a lot of attention and cares from the society. Baktisiswa projects in the past years has successfully received an overwhelming response among medical students and the project objectives have been achieved successfully in raising the awareness of medical students and locals from the rural area about the importance of individual responsibility in improving of their own health care status.
