Baking for the Unforgotten Children

Welcome to my Kitchen. My name is Armita and I am an Iranian-Canadian cook and food designer who uses food-art as a medium to raise awareness and financial aid for important global humanitarian causes close to my heart.

With a professional background in clinical psychology, I understand the nuances of our eating experiences, and how powerful cooking can be in connecting us globally as citizens. My philosophy is that food is a necessity, and cooking is a window to nourish our bodies, express our creativity, feed our souls, break stereotypes and keep us connected. I hope to take you on a cultural and historical food journey of Iran, bybaking and selling "Persian Love Cakes” and elevate the beauty, generosity, kindness and richness of it's culture, one plate at a time. 100 PERCENT of the proceeds raised from this fundraising will be donated to provide clean water supply and make it accessible to the improvised children and families in Sistan and Balouchestan, Iran.

My current fundraising aims to raise financial aid for children and families living under the poverty line. Lack of infrastructure, drought and mismanagement of the water supply network has created water crisis in many regions of the world. Tragically, children are the main victims of this water crisis as the detrimental effects of the water crisis have been an integral part of their development and improvised living conditions in these regions.
