In light of the devastation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and our government's failure to support its people, We at Commercial Baking Solutions have decided to step in and help feed our people to ensure no mother, father or child goes to work or school without having at least a sandwich for lunch. We want to set up a small bakery that can produce around 4000 loafs of bread daily which we will distribute throughout the city to those most severely affected by unemployment and the lack of access to financial support from the government and other aid organizations.

We will focus on low to no income households, institutions like state run old age homes and children's homes as well as established soup kitchens operating throughout the metro.

We are currently distributing around 200 to 300 loafs of bread a day at our own cost and with the help of a few generous individuals, but this is merely a drop in a very large ocean of starving people in our city and for us to make a difference we need all the help we can possibly get.

Our current bread supplier can only provide bread at a reduced rate for them not to make a loss so it will be less costly long term if we bake the bread ourselves, but as we all know however the cost involved in setting up a bakery can be very high. Since banks and other financial institutions will not consider startup funding for non-profit organizations we have to rely on the goodwill of our fellow South Africans to feed our people.

With enough support from individuals and corporate sponsors we aim to setup more of these bakeries all around the country in communities affected by Covid-19 and the Lockdown.
