In October 2019, the Philippines, particularly in the island of Mindanao Cotabato area, was hit by multiple earthquake waves. Three (3) of those were above 6.0 on the moment magnitude scale with a Mercalli intensity of VIII (Severe). Many have perished and were injured. Infrastructures collapsed and livelihood halted.
Bagobo tribe is one of the last and largest indigenous group of Mindanao in the Philippines. While most urban and suburb areas received such generous support from all over the country, sadly, those who were in the outskirt of the most secluded mountains remain unreachable. The Bagobo Tribe in Arakan, Cotabato; with a little to no assistance, they paved their way to survive the recent calamity.
THEY ARE VICTIMS TOO. EARTHQUAKE HIT THEM TOO. AND THEY TOO, NEED HELP.
Our ultimate goal here is to raise funds to rebuild the Bagobo community in Arakan, Cotabato. We are aiming to support rehabilitation of the Bagobo Houses not only to shelter them but also to preserve their cultural houses.
The Bagobo Houses will not be of modern design but we will make sure to make it sturdy and livable. Please help us secure funds to deliver the raw materials and supplies for these houses.
