On Wednesday, Sept 7th, at around 6pm, my home in Nashua, NH was struck with lightning, setting it ablaze. Witnesses said that within 5-6 minutes, the flames grew to twice the size of my house. Fortunately, the only person who was home, my wife, got out safely. However, the entire house burned down within minutes and everything was destroyed.
It has been estimated that over $1,000,000 has been lost due to the fire.
This morning, I went back to my old house only to be greeted with a shell. My kid's and my wife only have the clothes on their back as well as some miscellaneous objects they found in the house. Tears rolled down my wife's and children's eyes as they saw the aftermath of the fire. I ran away to my car to stop myself from breaking down in front of them.
