Back to Basics, Starting from Scratch

As you may have read in my bio, I am a 6 language speaking teacher who recently lost his job due to the Covid pandemic. While working I was sewing and donating masks to local law enforcement officers as my contribution to the South African protectors. After losing my job, I haven't been able to continue doing this.

Besides now struggling to support my family, I have slowly fallen into a funky depression because of not being able to provide for those less fortunate than myself.

While I am in the midst of training a new trade to get myself and loved ones back on track I continue to look for ways to help those less fortunate than I. I believe that by keeping my head high and my mind focused I can overcome.

As a means to an end, I recently launched a small online store selling t-shirts and masks as well as crocheted items made by myself and jewelry made by my elderly mother who insists on not giving up. It is from her, a single mother who raised 3 kids, that I learned to be strong.I need to replace my 27-year-old industrial sewing machine which has stopped working and need at least 100 meters of fabric to complete my mask order.
