I really want to continue and finish my studies, but my parents do not have jobs. The money I earn is not even enough for my family's needs, especially for my 6-month-old baby's needs. I really want to finish my studies so that I can give my baby a brighter future.
In March 2010, my father died from lung cancer. He was our family's breadwinner. My mother never had a job because she did not finish high school. Life became so hard for us. Every single day was a struggle, but my mother did everything that she could just to provide for us. In December 2011, My mother gave birth to my little sister with her new partner. My sister and I have an 18 year age gap.
In November 2016, I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. My boyfriend is still a college student, and, as for me, I had to stop going to school and focus on being a mother to my baby boy. We are financially unstable, but I am trying to do everything that I can just to provide for my family's basic needs. Most of the time, though, it is not enough.
Why am I asking for donations for my education?
Like I said, my small earnings are not enough for my family's basic needs, and I have nothing left to save up. I really want to continue and finish my studies. I dream of being a pediatrician someday, but, unfortunately, we cannot afford to pay the tuition fees and other things that I need in school (ie. school supplies and other school miscellaneous fees). Average tuition fee per year in Universities is between P100,000-P200,000 while the average cost of tuition fee per semester in Medical school is between P50,000-P200,000.
I believe that education is really important in every person's life. Nowadays, especially in my country, the Philippines, you will not be able to get a decent job if you did not finish your studies. I want to give my baby a bright future. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
