Baby Roxy’s Trauma Surgery

Meet sweet, 8 week old, Roxy, from Detroit. She is currently in surgery to drain a huge hematoma from her ear. Her very sweet, young, new mom is a community college student, that received baby Roxy as a “gift” last week. She took her right to the vet as she noticed that one of her ears was much bigger than the other. She paid for Roxy’s vaccines, but could not afford the $650 surgical estimate. It was then that she immediately contacted us for help. Now, all of you know that CHAINED is not a vet funding non-profit, and is an outreach organization. When we saw photos of how big the ear was, we knew there was no waiting around to find an organization to help baby Roxy. We scheduled her surgery immediately! We will worry about the rest later, right? Right! Well, it gets a bit worse...her head is now swollen. Baby Roxy will be hospitalized for a couple of days to make sure that the swelling subsides. We have offered her owner everything and anything that she may need and have asked for her “wish list.” Of course, we cannot give out owner information, so we are asking for donations for baby Roxy. We would very much appreciate raising $650 in monetary donations through www.chainedinc.org (put a note “for baby Roxy”) and we would love extra donations in order to buy her lots of toys, a new bed, a blow up e-collar, treats, harness, leash... you name it! We have also offered for her to come “shopping” at our headquarters:) Plus, I’m way overdue for puppy breath kisses! Want to help us save her? Please:)
