Babylon By Bus is a startup entity that intends to provide reliable and affordable scholar and staff shuttle services. The business model we would like to use is the same as Rubix Transfers and Scholar Transport

The vehicles are to be equipped with GPS and dedicated phones so that people know exactly were their loved ones are at any given time. I have tried to start my own business but due to lack of small business funding I have not been able to fully get off the ground. The company I registered is currently in the process of being deregistered. The reason for this fund raising initiative is to establish a trust for my son whilst insuring a continuous revenue stream by providing a much needed service to the community. The funds are to be used to acquire 15 and 22 seater busses to start the business of transportation and later register with the local taxi association. Donations can be in the form of a vehicle (preffered) or cash torwards acquiring the vehicle.

Here is a shortened summary of the business plan:

Babylon by Bus is a startup entity that intends to provide reliable and affordable scholar, student, staff, private individual and community groups (Churches, Schools, Tertiary Institutes) transport services to local and surrounding areas in Alice. It plans to be incorporated as a limited Company in 2018 should funding be available. It is owned and managed by Lwazi Peter (50%) and Asamda Malima (50%). The owners are not only committed and dedicated entrepreneurs but are also highly skilled, competent and experienced in the transportation arena. Lwazi Peter has experience as a Shuttle Manager during the 2010 Soccer World Cup, and extensive customer care and administration experience gained in the financial services sector. Whilst Asanda Malima has extensive experience as an owner driver of school, worker transport and taxi services. Babylon by Bus shall provide affordable, safe, dependable and efficient passenger transport services to Alice residents. The entity shall provide access to Alice and surrounding rural areas. The selection of a profitable target market is imperative for Babylon by Bus. The target market for the business will primarily be composed of the individual market segment (scholar, student and staff) and the corporate market (staff and private hire). This is based on our understanding of the capacity of the entity as well as instrumental factors such as profitability, growth, growth potential and risk factors. Babylon by Bus will reach a broader market by targeting both the individual and corporate market segment.

The business opportunity stems from the realization of the growing number of scholars, students, staff, private individuals and community groups (Churches, Schools, Tertiary Institutes) that require affordable, dependable and safe transportation, to and from school/work. The market for scholar and staff services is relatively broad. It encompasses both the individual and corporate market segment (the general market). Babylon by Bus will focus on having a thorough understanding of the needs and preferences of the customers (an understanding that supersedes its competitors’ understanding of the market). The business will thereafter deliver as per the needs and preferences of the customers. Meeting the customers’ expectations will be imperative to the success of the business. Essentially, customer intimacy and relationship building will be instrumental in combating competition and contribute towards achieving high sales levels and ultimately profits for Babylon by Bus. The business will strive to deliver value by upholding hallmarks such as quality service, safety, dependability, affordability and reliability. Providing quality service will extend beyond providing fast and efficient passenger transport services, the entity will ensure that the vehicles depart on the stated departure and arrival time every time.
