Last October 29, 2019 our little warrior, David Prosper Lim Sapinoso, was born at ACE Hospital in Malanday, Valenzuela City, Philippines. He can't wait to see this wonderful world, so he decided to come out of mommy's tummy at 28 weeks. Being this young, his lungs are yet to mature. He is also only 890 grams at birth, but baby Prosper has already proved that he is built to be a strong baby. Other than having premature lungs, his doctors are unable to see other complications as of today.
Having been born too early however, we need to put baby Prosper in an incubator and ensure that he gets all the medical help he can get to be able to grow fast. At one day old, his doctors deemed necessary that in order to breathe easily, a Nasal CPAP will be used and later on, be intubated and put on Mechanical Ventilator to help his tiny body. As explained by his team of doctors, this is also to ensure that he do not tire his heart. Also today, we were told that he has gained 5 grams. :-) While we welcome this positive change, we also want to make sure that we are prepared for other occurrences.
Much as we are able to prepare for his delivery, we may have overlooked the possibility of having him ahead of time and that he would need both medical and financial help to survive. With this, we are knocking on your kind hearts to help us help baby David Prosper to win this battle of life.
We are humbled by the challenge our family has been put through. And we submit that we cannot do this alone and we would need all the help we can get. We did not set a target on this campaign as we would need this to be on going until David Prosper is strong enough to be out of the incubator. We do not force you to donate monetarily too, but we would appreciate it if you could share this campaign to your network instead.
