Baby Yohann’s Heart Needs Help

Our great friend and everybody's favourite Barber Artist Joe Camacam along with his wife Pauline Camacam welcomed their baby boy Yohann into the world last May 2nd, 2020. To this day, Baby Yohann is still being witheld in the NICU due to a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, wherein the left side of the heart is critically underdeveloped. The left side of the heart can't effectively pump blood to the body. Instead, the right side of the heart must pump blood to the lungs and to the rest of the body.

Medication to prevent closure of the connection (ductus arteriosus) between the right and left sides, followed by either surgery or a heart transplant, is necessary to treat hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

The Qubo Manila team is asking for your loving support in helping out Joe and his family get through this crazy time of trying to keep Yohann alive amidst what is happening in the world right now.

Baby Yohann needs surgery as soon as possible to gain a fighting chance to live in this lifetime and ANY amount you are able to give is help that we appreciate and will forever be thankful for.

JOE'S LETTER TO BABY YOHANN

"I’m sorry you are going through this Yohann. Sana ako nalang nagkasakit. Akin nalng yung nararamdaman mo. Pero bilib ako sayo anak, napakalakas mo. Sabi pa ng mga doctor napakasigla mo daw at malakas dumede. Pinapakita mo sa amin na lumalaban ka. Gagawin ko lahat para makasurvive ka anak. Kasama ng mga taong willing tumulong sa atin. Iniisip ka namin palagi ni mommy, pinagdadasal na sana magkamilagro at maging normal ang lahat sayo. Na maging okay ka. Ilalaban kita Yohann. Hindi kita isusuko. Mahal na mahal ka ni daddy."

English: I'm sorry you are going through this Yohann. I wish I was the one who sick instead, I wish I was going through this instead of you, but I'm so proud of you son, you have been so strong. The doctors told how much you are fighting, even drinking your mom's breast milk so earnestly. You are showing us how much fight you have in you, so I and the people who are willing to help you will do everything in our power to help you survive, son. Your mommy and I are always thinking and praying for a miracle to happen, that everything will become normal with you. I will fight for you, Yohann. I will not give up. Daddy loves you very much.
