Baby Liam’s Open Heart Surgery (DORV baby)

Baby Liam Fabio Aranas, a 10 month old baby was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. With the series of tests conducted to him, the result showed that he has a Double Outlet Right Ventricle with Severe Infundibulovalvar Stenosis.

The parents have been advised for a possible palliative surgery (Intraventricular Repair w/ Infundibulectomy) under Cardiopulmonary Bypass urgently- if possible before he turns 1 year old. Unfortunately, the procedure can be done in Manila (Philippine Heart Center). The cost will be based on the assessment for the proposed surgery in the said institution.

Last Feb 16, 2021, we flew to Manila for his surgery. The surgery was done on Thursday, Feb 18. It was successful and baby Liam stayed in ICU for 5 days for recovery. After that, we were directed to a ward room. A day after Baby Liam was released from ICU, we noticed that his tummy grew bigger like it’s about to burst and he’s always crying like he’s feeling something painful. We called the nurse and the doctor to ask help. So, the doctor advised us to bring back baby Liam to ICU for observation. Until now, Feb 28 he is still in ICU. We’re humbly asking for your help to help us settle our hospital bill. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. The hospital bill given to us was beyond the amount we prepared for his operation.
