Baby CJ Besana-Blancaflor’s Medical Expenses

He is Christian Jay Besana Blancaflor. His parents are Sheila Mae Besana Blancaflor and Jomarie Blancaflor. They are our neighbor in Cabugao Oeste, Panay, Capiz. He is 21- months old baby.

He was born with down syndrome and Imperforate anus, a defect in which the opening to the anus is missing or blocked. The anus is the opening to the rectum through which stools leave the body. This is present from birth (congenital). Reference: medlineplus.gov

He undergone 1st operation, colostomy, a surgical procedure that brings one end of the large intestine out through the abdominal wall. During this procedure, one end of the colon is diverted through an incision in the abdominal wall to create a stoma. A stoma is the opening in the skin where a pouch for collecting feces is attached.

Due to financial enability of the parents, Baby CJ's health was not checked regularly, and big portion of his intestines are visible outside of his stomach and now prone to infection, the fact that they cannot afford to buy colostomy bag instead, they are using a disposable plastic bag.

BABY CJ's health is declining because his body is not receiving the right amount of nutrients that he needs now while enduring the congenital disease.
