Baby Asher’s Journey to Biliary Atresia

Baby Asher was diagnosed with BILIARY ATRESIA at 2 months old.

Biliary atresia is a condition in infants in which the bile ducts outside and inside the liver are scarred and blocked. Bile can't flow into the intestine, so bile builds up in the liver and damages it. The damage leads to scarring, loss of liver tissue and function, and cirrhosis

Asher undergo to KASAI PROCEDURE.
Kasai procedure is a way to surgically bypass them and prevent liver damage. It is often the preferred treatment for biliary atresia.Kasai procedure is not a permanent cure for biliary atresia, in many cases it allows patients to grow and remain in good health for several years.
Asher is doing great since the past few months of taking his medications, but now the infection attacks again and again that cause his tummy have a water in it and thats why he has a big tummy now. Doctor said asher's need a LIVER TRANSPLANT as soon as possible to survive and to live longer.
