Baby Addy’s Fights Leukemia!

On January 29th, 2018 sweet little Princess Addison Boo was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocyctic Leukemia. This came as a huge shock to our family. Bad went to worse when 2 weeks later genetic testing revealed that her Leukemia Cells were Philadelphia Positive. This simply put means that her Leukemia is resistant to standard chemotherapy treatments and the likelihood of cancer recurrence is high... during and after treatment.

Addison immediately began intense inpatient chemotherapy. She has been in the hospital more than she has been out. She has undergone frequent blood transfusions and also multiple port placements due to complications from infections due to her non existent immune system. A feeding tube was placed after her meds began eroding the inside of her mouth and she began losing weight.

The road has been tough and recently we learned that Addison will endure this intense Chemo regimen until August of 2017 - before moving into the maintenance stage of her treatment. My sister has not returned to work since Addy's diagnosis and the thought of her having to do so prior to the completion of this stage has truly been troubling. However, the loss of an income and the addition of new medical expenses has become a heavy burden to carry. Addison needs her parents by her side and I need their lives to be even a little less stressed. We are so grateful for all your love and support. Please continue to pray for our precious Addison.
