Sixteen Karen youth will step off on October 15th from Baan Dada Children's Home and walk 218 km to Kanchanaburi, Thailand. The walk is their effort to raise the money needed for their school education for one year.
Baan Dada is a home for about 60 orphaned or disadvantaged Karen children. These children have come from nearby Burma in order to escape the hardship and danger imposed by the military there.
The home relies on donations to operate, and all the money needed to support the children and put them through school is raised through the generous support of people like you!
