Ayumi’s Kimono Visual Book

Hello everyone,

My name is Ayumi LaNoire (www.ayumilanoire.com) and am a Japanese performing artist based in London.

After having performed in the past 10 years in London contributing to its art & culture scene, I would like to celebrate this turning point with an anniversary project.

The project is to publish a visual book of myself in the theme of Japanese traditional wear, Kimono.

Since my performance styles are always based on my cultural background, I wear Kimono for most of my stage shows. Kimono has been very close to my heart and I came up with the idea of creating a visual book which can feature the beauty of Kimono at my direction. Although Kimono is known widely as an inspiration which has influenced on many established fashion designers in the history, there are not many books out there we could spot and learn what it actually is.

The book is to be designed for all type of people who appreciate art, fashion, traditional culture and its spirit behind.

I have a great photographer and a publisher on standby in order to publish this book in the UK and the US later in 2018.

We are all confident that this book will be loved universally and it could also be a wonderful addition to the bookshelf.

The fund will be purely used for its production cost such as fees for Kimono hire, location bookings, travel cost and printing.
