This is my mother, María Matilde Bolívar Gutiérrez, one of the strongest women I know, was always hardworking, healthy and committed to raising her children. This brave woman in March 2017 began to lose weight extremely fast, it's only TWO months, she went from having a 78kg 43kg

This was how his life began to change, First with Chronic Malnutrition

Then with acute pancreatitis, until June 12, 2017 he had a pleural effusion in the right lung. A therapeutic thoracentesis was performed, which consists of a puncture to drain the fluid from the affected lung, the dyspnea began, increasingly strong; After many medical exams, through a tomography done on July 27, 2018, my mother's painful disease, pulmonary fibrosis, is determined. For those who do not know, Pulmonary fibrosis is a disease that occurs when lung tissue is damaged causing scarring. This thickened and stiff tissue makes it more difficult for the lungs to function properly. As pulmonary fibrosis worsens, breathing becomes increasingly difficult, breathlessness increases and with this the pain from inflammation. Pulmonary fibrosis has no known cure

On August 24, 2018, a medical examination described as fungal serology was performed, the results of the sample indicated that he suffered from histoplasmosis, an infection caused by the inhalation of spores of a fungus that is often found in bird droppings and Los Murcielagos, he was prescribed two doses of itraconazole of 100mg, whatever we got thanks to the help of Relatives Outside the Country, since it was not within our Economic Reach or within the Pharmaceutical System in the National Territory.

Since then, visits to hospitals have been constant.

The needs have increased. On April 24, 2019 he suffered from amebiasis, causing a loss of appetite, decompensing the immune system

amebiasis was treated and cured successfully; nevertheless the discomforts continue (fevers, chills, excessive phlegm and a lot of cough) putting us in the need to find an answer to such a condition

On May 8 (same year, 2019) is diagnosed with tuberculosis, the recommended treatment is divided into three phases with a large number of medications, as well as nebulizing, this worsened her lung condition, we took her on May 31 to the pulmonologist , he suggested that he start using an oxygen pump since his oxygen level is low, also because of pulmonary fibrosis, he was told that from that moment, he should attend the consultation monthly, taking with him X-rays of Chest to assess the progress of the disease, as well as the recommendation of very good nutrition (which requires certain vitamins) and a special test called "sputum fungi" was added to the list of tests to be performed

To the diseases that she suffers (pulmonary fibrosis, tuberculosis and malnutrition) are added a damage of the renal functions which has caused a retention of fluids, this began to happen after starting with the treatment for tuberculosis, to treat this He asked for a series of tests to evaluate the functioning of the kidneys and was prescribed the use of diuretics. And vitamins

At the time of having bought diuretics for fluid retention and their intake, my mother began to feel a hypersensitivity in the feet, on October 23 of this year 2019 the internist who saw her, determined it as Neuropathy, which It is believed that it is caused by the taking of medicines for tuberculosis, in addition to this, he has had a lot of pain in the bones of the shoulders and low blood pressure, for this he was prescribed more medications that we can not afford.

The help I am asking for is to cover the expenses explained above (oxygen pump, medications, vitamins, x-rays, medical exams, routine check-ups, among others) and try to give you the necessary medical care because it is not available to us. Thank you very much to anyone who can donate or help me spread our help campaign.
