Campaign Story
Nelson Monterola Trinidad was born in Santurce on June 30th,1982. Of humble origins, he is the youngest of four brothers. A talented young poet, musician and above all a great human being, he has composed his powerful lyrics since high school, perfecting his craft over time and creating powerful songs like ‘100x35-Borinquen es Nuestro’, ‘El Cuento de NuncAcabar’, speaking about the realities of life in Puerto Rico and our conciousness as a people under oppression.
Always in compromise with working for the betterment of others, he is heavily involved in community work, colaborating in projects such as cleaning and repairs at John F Kennedy elementary school in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, helping out his community in Luis Llorens Torres after Hurricane María and helping deliver food and supplies to those affected by the Hurricane.
Nelson wants to fulfill his goal of being part of a cultural delegation abroad, and while he has been working to raise the money, he needs our help. Donate here so we can reach this goal!
