Families with breadwinner facing the loss of they jobs and pensioners.
Due to the Strict Lockdown regulations set in South Africa many breadwinners are facing the loss of their jobs, Bloemfontein is currently under level 4 lockdown status which restricts most workers from working and businesses end up firing them . This is has brought a lot of troubles for families such as hunger and lack of medical supply.
The most affected people are residents of the rural areas of Bloemfontein such as Phase Six have been struck hard by such restricts and family breadwinners losing their jobs. This South African government has tried to ease the problem but it is not enough as rural communities such Phase Six have not received relief enough to ease the problem of hunger.
This is a short summary why the Anglican Youth Ministry Holy Cross Parish has stepped in to help with providing food parcels to the rural communities which have been struck the hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic to assist the national government and reach places it does not reach. The Ministry has exhausted its funds by providing parcels and is now asking for help from anyone who is willing to donate. Any amount is acceptable and appreciated. The ministry has I previous cases assisted communities with relief and this time we have exhausted our funds to the point that our staff is now working on a volunteer bases.
We pledge with everyone who can help to please donate any amount of money they can afford to help communities in need.
And may you be safe and health during this pandemic.
