Hello Everyone,

These past few days have been very tough for our family. Last Tuesday night during the isolation, my mother, Iris "Ayie" Andales, a single mother and the eldest of the family, have experienced nerve weakness and severe headache that induced movement inability and numbness.

Based on my mother's medical history, her imbalance was already diagnosed and is caused by vertigo and inner ear infection. Her imbalance has been a problem for the past years but it never came to the point where she was unable to move and almost in a paralyzed situation. It was both unexpected and unusual for our family and it is inevitable to not worry about her circumstances.

She has been brought to St. Lukes Hospital by our family on Thursday morning for a series of examination but there was an issue with her medical card which caused us to search for a couple more hospital within the vicinity that is both accredited and equipped with the facilities that are needed for the tests.

There even came a point where my mother has lost color because of dehydration and food deficiency which is soon identified as a result of throat blockage.

My mother, Iris Andales have stayed in the Medical Center Muntinlupa, for almost two days, taking antibiotics for a blood infection and decreased potassium levels. The hospital had requested for the patient to be situated in the Intensive Care Unite but due to the current pandemic, our family had undergone difficulties in finding a hospital with vacant ICU. Furthermore, she stayed in isolation to finish the treatment and wait for the test results.

In God's grace, my mother is now being transferred to Quirino Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines after being examined and CT scanned with the findings of having a huge lump in the brain (Meningioma). Operation is advised and will probably be done in QMMC.

Due to the approaching operation, our family is expecting a huge financial burden. We are humbly asking for everyone's assistance and help in raising enough funds. All funds raised will go directly to my mother's medical costs. Any donation through this fundraiser would be greatly appreciated and will go straight to her hospital need.

On behalf of my mother's closest relatives, friends, and the entire Andales family, we truly appreciate the outpouring love, prayer, and support given for the past couple of days and weeks to come.

Let us all have faith and hope that this too shall pass.

Faith and prayers have been the family's weapon in the midst of this uncertainty.

According to John 14:18 KJV, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." We will be holding unto God's promised and hope that this experience will be a great testimony of God's goodness in the future.
