It has long been a dream of mine to have my own guitar & amplifier repair shop. Last year, that vision came to fruition as Axe & Amp, which I ran from my home in Mount Pleasant, TN. 2018 was an exciting year learning the ups and downs of running a business and I got to meet some very talented musicians. Now it is time to start taking some next steps:
Foremost among these steps is to relocate to a storefront in Mount Pleasant in order to provide retail options for customers and to serve walk-in customers. It'll be nice to be able to advertise an address too! I have my eye on a particular place, but the biggest concern right now is the costs associated with a buildout. Without the necessary capital for signage, counters and displays, security, and a starting inventory stock, a buildout seems an overwhelming task.
So here's what I'm looking for: donations! If you're interested in making a small investment in a local business, now's your chance! I have some rewards available to make it worthwhile, so check them out and consider what you can give. Some rewards are available right now; some will not be available for a few weeks, until after the campaign is over, or after the new location is open for business, so please read carefully.
While there is an end date for this campaign (August 2, 2019), there is no limit to how much can be donated. If we can beat my goal, I'll consider additional rewards for those who have already contributed!
Thanks for checking out this fundraiser and I look forward to serving you soon!

Good luck Jason! I am in!!
Once the search is in progress, something will be found.
Update posted by Jason Reazin at 05:56 pmIn 1975, Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt came up with "a card-based method for promoting creativity" called Oblique Strategies. Turns out there's an app for that these days! A few months ago, when I started this fundraiser, but had not yet found a place to set up shop, I opened. . . . .
