Teacher Babes as what most people call her, teaches in a government institution for Special Education (SPED). During her more than ten years handling special children, it is not only with her eyes that she sees their special needs, but with her caring heart as well.

She sees their disabilities, but she sees more what the deaf, blind and those with learning disabilities and autism are capable of achieving.

She does not only teaches these beautiful souls the things they need to know from school, she inspires and empowers them to surpass their limitations and reach the highest of their abilities.

Teacher Babes has two lovely daughters, George 11 and Gabrielle 14. Ever since, she solely provides all the support for her daughters with some help from her in-laws. Teacher Babes has so much to Iive for, the dreams and plans she still wants to achieve and gives for the special children she devotes her life to.

And now, this woman who has faced a great deal of adversities in her life yet still, became a constant source of strength and inspiration to many is now facing the biggest battle of her life, the Bechet’s Disease. The warrior who gives sight to the invisible eyes of many through her compassion, faith and wisdom has the possibility to lose her eyesight, as that is one of the symptoms this rare disease can do to her.

A Glimpse of her Medical Condition

Bechet’s Disease is a rare illness that causes symptoms in various parts of the body. Nearly all of the symptoms are due to an inflammation of the blood vessels. Some severe symptoms of this disease include inflammation in the brain and spinal cord, blood clots, inflammation in the digestive system and blindness.

Financial Need

Teacher Babes has been able to obtain financial assistance from government agencies but unfortunately, it only provided a partial amount of what she needs. Currently, she undergoes suppression of immune system through Infliximab Infusion. It’s a form of chemotherapy. Remicade, the liquid medicine that is injected to her costs P43,000.00 per vial. She needs to undergo four infusions per phase.

Aside from that, she has an ongoing oral medications to fight the growing cancer cells.

Other expenses she regularly needs to cover are the doctor’s fee and pertinent medical supplies.

What Faith Can Do

Teachers Babes is a warrior of faith. Every thing she does for the special children is a leap of faith. For her, anything is possible, that’s why her visually impaired students were able to reach the summit of a mountain. Yes, that was one of those braveries she and the kids had conquered together.

Grateful

Thank you in advance for being a blessing not only to her, but to her daughters and to the kids she teaches, guides and inspires. The amount you will extend for her medications will not only help her to survive the disease but to continue her purpose in life.

A gift of any amount will go a long way. Our deepest thanks. God bless your heart more.
