Campaign Story
Hello friends and crazy cat people, it's us again! β£οΈπ±
Dobby, Simba, Fil and I are currently on lockdown in Greece, on the island of Euboea, between Kimi and Alvieri.
After successfully helping to spay & neuter + vaccinate 14 cats in Leonidio AND save near-death Dobby (who soon became a foster fail β we donated some of that money for the strays of Leonidio as well) through our past fundraisers, we are now launching a third one.
Now that the whole country is on lockdown, some of the ferals / strays are having a really hard time.
No one is leaving the house = no one is feeding them.
While some of them live around inhabited houses and can survive by scavenging out of the bins, others aren't so 'lucky'.
These 3 strays are in particularly bad conditions, as they live off the trash off a supermarket (the Kretikos between Avlonari and Orologio) on a busy road:
They are incredibly skinny and dirty, one has lost an eye, and the other has something going on with its mouth, and it looks like he can't eat properly π’
They are also very friendly, but no one is feeding them and they are constantly exposed to the dangers of the busy road and parking lot.
We want to help the local organization "Kima Strays" by launching this fundraiser.
How you can help:
While we are here for the next 1-2 months during lockdown (wild estimate π), we want to help the local organisation.
There is only 1 organization operating on the whole area, and they have a hard time keeping an eye on all the endangered animals on the territory.
They partner up with the only veterinary practice in the city of Kimi, which we totally endorse as he's the one who vaccinated Simba and neutered Dobby!
With your donations, we will:
β’ Spay & neuter these 3 strays to keep the feral population under control and prevent kittens from ending up on the road and being run over
β’ Medically treat the 3 strays with antibiotics and dewormers, and hopefully help them treat the other conditions they are currently suffering from (we will be able to tell you more once we catch them)
β’ Vaccinate the 3 strays
β’ Cover other vet and medical bills.
Cats, humans and local wildlife will be forever grateful πΎ

We rescued Gatto (orange cat)
Update posted by Martina Russo at 07:41 amHey everyone, thank you SO MUCH for all your help, we are so grateful! We couldn't go see the cats for 2 weeks due to quarantine and lockdown. When we did manage to go a few days ago, unfortunately, the orange cat was in these conditions β unable to walk. . . . .

You rock, Martina! But, see? You've already spent half of your initial fundraising goal on two visits for El Gatto, and he hasn't even had surgery yet. Let's keep the funds rising!
