Campaign Story
My name is Adinah Keidan, the mother of Aviva Keidan. We are from Be'er Sheva, Israel. Aviva was born on October 2, 2016, Aviva is the youngest of three. As a 3 years old child, she is active with a contagious laugh and so much personality. She loves shooting and playing with basketballs. Unfortunately, on August 5th I realized that her behavior was different and strange. After various visits to the hospital and multiple tests, doctors diagnosed Aviva with Childhood Cancer called Neuroblastoma 7-10% of childhood cancer is caused by Neuroblastoma with 800 new cases of diagnoses yearly.
Doctors found various tumors hidden behind Aviva’s stomach and very close to her spine. Aviva’s symptoms included loss of mobility, rotating eye movements, sudden muscle jerks and frequent shakes. Aviva was rushed to emergency surgery in order and alleviate some of the pressure on her spine enabling her to regain mobility.
On August 21st, Aviva received her first round of chemotherapy and while she was brave and did amazing, she’s a 3 years old child who’s endured so much within the last two weeks. As we begin to prepare her for her next round of chemotherapy (Septemper 13th), we are also preparing for the long journey ahead of us.
As you can imagine, we are shocked and while we are pulling ourselves together, the well being of Aviva is our number one priority. While this cancer is treatable, it requires 24/7 care, continued medical visits and treatment. In addition to our daily funds, lifestyle and care taking care of our other two kids (ages 13 and 11), Baby Aviva's road to recovery comes with financial strain.
This page is in honor of Aviva's health and support for our
family to ensure that she receives all of the support she can possibly need.
This money for our campaign will help us with some expenses for Aviva's medical
bills, helps with our daily and expenses and to keep our other two children in
school. I have no income at the moment while I'm on Family Leave of Absence as
we are not sure how long Aviva's recovery will take. With your kindness and
love, we can make sure that Aviva receives the treatments she needs, the 24/7
care that is required. No contribution is too small, anything is welcomed with
open arms. Please also share this page with anyone who’d be kind enough to
support our family.
Most importantly, nothing is greater than the power of
prayer. We ask that you please keep Aviva in your prayers as we start this
journey together.
Thank You And God Bless You All.
