Ava’s Christmas

Ava is 6 years old.   Things have not gone so well for our family recently.  Her dad was just diagnosed with Chron's Disease after months of being really ill and missing a ton of work.  This has resulted in our utilities being about 2 months behind and the possibility that Ava won't have much of a Christmas this year.  

Ava's mom is disabled with PTSD so I help out with the family, I'm Ava's gramma, but I am retired on a very small Social Security retirement check and have virtually nothing left over after I buy groceries, gas, insurance, you know how it goes!

Hopefully her dad will be able to resume work shortly once they can get him stabilized on some meds.  Until then, we just need a little help to pay the utilities that are overdue, fix some things on the only car we have and give Ava a nice Christmas. I cannot even describe this little girl other than to say she is the sweetest, kindest child who would do anything for anyone.....the thought of not giving her a Christmas, or a Christmas with the electricity turned off, is just too much for me to bear.

Like so many, we have nothing to fall back on, so any bump in the road is like a mountain.  Just been trying to keep up with the rent is about all we've been able to do for about 4 months.

Any help at all will be GREATLY appreciated.  I don't care if it's only a dollar.......thank you in advance for your generosity.
